Short story collections are perfect for those times when you need something you can pick up and put down. This set of stories will suit fans of Helen Garner and Lionel Schriver as Chloe has a similar intellectual and dispassionate tone to her writing. They are often dark, sometimes violent, but always entertaining, humorous, and extremely well written. I had never read any of Chloe's work before this collection, but I will keeping an eye out for her in the future.
