The story is set in Darwin in 1942 when the city is bombed by the Japanese. It is told through the eyes of the enchanting Molly Hook, the grave digger's daughter. Molly's family is cursed and she ventures into the outback with unlikely companions to find Longcoat Bob to undo this curse. She is also seeking family treasure but discovers something much more priceless.
